For Grants to Organisations

Applications may be submitted at any time. The Trustees meet eight times a year to consider proposals and in addition to these main meetings, requests for smaller grants are considered at more frequent intervals.

Although there is no application form for grants to organisations, we ask applicants to provide the following information:

  • A covering letter outlining the general work of the organisation and the specific activity for which funding is sought.
  • The most recently available annual report and audited accounts.
  • Statement on the particular need for which funding is sought.
  • Full costing of the proposal.
  • Details of other funding sources, including applications to other trusts.
  • The mechanism by which the project can be monitored and evaluated.

It is imperative to show, preferably with statistical information, how many people in the former Metropolitan Borough of Hampstead have been or will be helped by the project. Grants are made at the discretion of the Trustees, and their decision is final.

Applications may be discussed with the staff of the Trust prior to their submission. Other helpful material includes leaflets giving details of eligibility for pensions, notes on completing the application form, and a guide to Trust pensions. These are available from the Trust.
