Robin Woolfson
Chair of Trustees

Robin has worked as a NHS hospital consultant in North Central London for more than 25 years, gaining extensive experience in medical leadership, service development and governance. He is a Trustee of the Epilepsy Society. He has lived in HWCT's area of benefit for 30 years and has been involved with local amenity groups.

Jeremy Wells
Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees

Jeremy is an independent investment management consultant, having previously worked for over thirty years in various senior roles as a fund manager, and in client management and business development within the investment management industry, with a particular focus on the investment needs of charities and other very long term endowments. Born in Camden, Jeremy has spent most of his life living close by the charity’s area of benefit.

Jenny Stevens
Chair of Grants Committee

Jenny is Chair of the Grants Committee. Her career has been both in education and in broadcasting. She was a member of the four person Right to Read team campaigning for provision for adult illiteracy throughout the UK. She subsequently joined the BBC to work on its pioneering three year adult literacy campaign spearheaded by the award winning tv series ‘On The Move’. Later she moved into television production and worked as director & producer, executive producer and commissioning editor. Before leaving the BBC to pursue a freelance career she established and ran the first education department at the BBC World Service, commissioning output in 45 languages.

Jenny is experienced in working with and on behalf of a range of disadvantaged groups and has a number of charitable interests including the rehabilitation of offenders and community development.

Fiona Dunsire

Fiona Dunsire
Chair of Finance Committee

Fiona is a qualified Actuary and has spent her working career at Mercer Limited, a global consultancy, primarily providing investment advice to the trustees of pension funds, endowments, sovereign wealth funds and other large asset owners. More recently, she has had business leadership responsibilities at Mercer both in the UK and across Asia, Middle East, Africa and LatAM. Fiona is an active advocate for diversity and inclusion, mentors future leaders and is a volunteer maths tutor to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds get to top universities.

Simone Hensby

Simone Hensby has extensive experience of working in the voluntary and community sector at a local and national level. Her experience includes community development, health and social care and over twenty years of working as a CEO in two charities, one based in Camden, delivering organisational development support to a wide range of civil society organisations. She is a qualified social worker, project manager, coach and mentor who teaches in adult education and trains in the voluntary and community sector. She is also a Fellow of the RSA, a member of the Association for Project Management. and an associate consultant with the National Council of Voluntary Organisations.

 

Steven Bobasch
Vice Chair of Finance Committee

Trained as a physicist and then an engineer, the main part of Steven Bobasch's career is in credit risk management. He supports financial companies, NGOs and other not for profit organisations with advice on risk and investment policy, He first moved to the NW3 area in 1960 and has been a Trustee at Citizens Advice and is now a Trustee of the Keats Community Library.

Ashish is a strategic and commercially astute senior HR Leader with substantial experience within the U.K. and EMEA, of acting as a trusted business adviser. Ashish has gained experience in a variety of people centred fast-paced organisations within banking, insurance, professional services, and IT start-ups.

Ashish has a successful track record of increasing employee engagement, creating sustainable cultures, leading business change and growth, HR and business transformation, improving employee performance, forming harmonious employee relations and building highly effective and collaborative relationships across all levels and business functions.

Nina Fletcher

Nina is currently an executive director with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators - the global professional body for alternative dispute resolvers - and an experienced trustee.  Nina has worked in the not-for-profit sector throughout her working life, starting out in academia and then moving into applied socio-legal research. She has held leadership roles since 2010 focusing on promoting and facilitating evidence-based decision making, strategy development, service delivery improvement and value proposition development. She is a qualified executive coach and has provided consultancy around impact demonstration and strategic analysis for arms-length government bodies, universities, professional bodies and legal sector organisations.

 

Jamie Firby

Jamie works in the communications team at grantmaker Trust for London. Previously he has worked in local government and has an academic background in politics and journalism. 

David Lazarus

David is a chartered accountant (FCA) and has spent his working career in senior  finance roles in the advertising, retail, manufacturing and consulting sectors. He is currently Head of Finance for a leading company in the Board games and Puzzle sector.

Before becoming a finance trustee for the HWCT  He was treasurer of The Noah’s Ark Children's hospice, a charity providing expert and palliative care for over 350 children in 6 London boroughs including Camden.

Katie Slater

Katie is the Grants Manager at the RCN Foundation. She has spent ten years working in the grant giving sector and has eight years of grants management experience. She has a strong commitment to social justice and have always worked for Foundations that work to improve the lives of beneficiaries through financial grants.

Amanda Lewis

Amanda has had a long career as a partner in leading City law firms since 2000, now working for Dentons as a Consultant. She specialises in commercial law and is a renowned expert, advising diversified & complex businesses on strategic collaboration, commercial, IT implementation, transformation and outsourcing projects. She has written four books for Boards of Directors on collaboration, IT implementation and outsourcing projects, focusing on best practice and innovation. Amanda is an experienced trustee, having worked as a non-executive director or trustee for the public sector and charity sector since 2013 and she has a strong track record of delivering pragmatic analysis on all aspects of strategy, risk and governance.  Amanda has spent most of her adult life living close by the charity’s area of benefit. She is also a non-executive director and co-chair of the Impact /ESG Committee of charity Allia Limited.
